IBIS Summit 2019 announces first headline speaker

IBIS Global Summit has the pleasure to announce the first confirmed speaker to join the 2019 agenda, Dr Annette Winkler, former vice president and head of smart for Daimler AG.

Previously head of the smart product division within Daimler AG, Dr Winkler had total overall responsibility for the smart brand. She also holds a position in the Board of Directors at Air Liquide S.A. She has been appointed to the supervisory board of Mercedes-Benz South Africa effective 1 January 2019.

After training as an industrial clerk, Dr Winkler studied Business Management in Frankfurt, where she obtained her Doctorate in 1986. In 1995 she started her career at what was then Daimler-Benz AG as head of public relations and communications for Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart, moving to head up the Mercedes-Benz sales and service outlet in Braunschweig from 1997 to 1999. After that period, Dr Winkler became chief executive officer of DaimlerChrysler Belgium and Luxembourg in Brussels. Between 2006 to 2010 she was responsible for managing DaimlerChrysler’s entire sales network as head of global business management and wholesale Europe in Stuttgart.

Dr Winkler will be focusing her speech on the future of urban mobility global trends and how to involve and take Teams along in a world which changes with increasing speed.

On behalf of Dr Winkler, IBIS will be donating £5,000 to Plan International, an independent organisation that stands up for children’s rights worldwide. The organisation has been working for over 80 years to tackle poverty, violence and injustice and its main objective is to achieve sustainable change and to enhance the living conditions of the people in its partner countries.

The IBIS Global Summit will be taking place on the 10–12 June 2019 at the Grand Hotel Dino, in Baveno, on the stunning shores of Lake Maggiore, Italy. It will gather representatives from more than 30 countries around the world and will bring together the latest trends and a world class agenda where delegates can learn from some of the industry’s most engaging thought leaders.
