Service King tabbed fastest growing business

Service King Collision Repair Centers was officially tabbed by the Dallas Business Journal as the third-fastest growing middle-market business in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Middle Market 50 listing highlights the top-50 fastest growing middle market public and private companies in the North Texas area based on a weighted growth index from 2012-14.

With headquarters in Richardson, Texas, Service King traces its roots back to west Dallas where founder Eddie Lennox opened the company’s first collision repair center in 1976. Today, Service King operates more than 250 premier repair facilities in 23 states across the U.S. Much of Service King’s exponential growth has occurred in the last five years.

In 2014, global investment and advisory group Blackstone officially acquired majority stake in Service King, which has fueled its expansion across the U.S. The Carlyle Group previously held majority ownership after investing in the company in 2012.
