John EckSenior Manager, OnStar Global Innovation


John Eck has over 30 years of automotive aftermarket experience with General Motors and has held numerous field sales, marketing, and management positions in several business segments in the USA, Canada and South Africa. In 2014 John joined the Wholesale Business Channel as the Collision Manager for General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales. John was responsible for managing the collision business including GM Dealer Wholesale parts strategies, programs, and industry relationships. In 2022 John joined the OnStar Global Innovation/Insurance organisation to further develop and execute post-collision solutions to support the customer, vehicle and claims process.

Additionally, John served two terms on the I-CAR Board of Director’s Strategic Planning and Finance Committees, John held the position of President and Chairman of the Board for the OEM Roundtable from 2017-2020 and is an active participant on the CIC Governance Committee and the CIECA Emerging Technology Committee.

John actively engages with industry stakeholders to advance awareness of new GM’s drive towards a “Zero-Zero-Zero” future and collaborates globally to help drive the industry forward in safe and proper repair.
