Mike Fiato is currently the chief claims officer for global retail markets US (GRM US) claims at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

He is responsible for the GRM US Claims organisation, including oversight of nearly 9,000 employees across Business Lines small business insurance and Personal Lines Auto Physical Damage, Casualty, Property, and Medical, Special Investigations & Programs lines of business.

Mike joined Liberty Mutual in April of 2017. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Mike spent over 25 years at Progressive Insurance, where his last role was a general manager of claims.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York College at Brockport, his Master of Science in Labour & Industrial Relations from University of Rhode Island and his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School.
