Brian Lennondevelopment director, Castle Coachworks Northampton
Brian started repairing cars on a Saturday morning age 14 for a local Bodyshop in town. When he left school, he wanted to be a plumber and sent 50 requests for apprenticeships to 50 companies in the yellow pages with self-addressed envelopes for a response, only two responded which is the reason he now responds to any and all applicants today. Brian’s elder sister then drove him to all the Bodyshop’s in town, after being refused by all they headed home. On the way, Brian’s sister saw a small Bodyshop and stopped, he went in, asked and was surprised to be offered a start on that Monday. Brian served his three-year apprenticeship there and then years later bought that bodyshop along with his sister Rita – Castle Coachworks was started on one premise – Never Give Up!
