Fix Auto China hosted the first Global Direct Repair Program (DRP) Forum last month, when experts from around the globe met to share knowledge and experience.
The event, which attracted more than 225 people, took place during the annual Auto Maintenance and Repair Trade Show (AMR 2017) in Beijing. It also set the stage for the signature of a historic collaborative agreement between the Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada and the China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Trades Association (CAMRA).
Among key delegates taking part were Fix Auto World president and CEO Steve Leal, Fix Auto China president and forum organizer Frank Liu, Fix Auto World global strategic developer Desmond Chan, AIA Canada president Jean-François Champagne, CAMRA vice secretary General Fengling Wang and Advantage Parts Solutions president Bob Kirstiuk.
Desmond Chan said, ‘This forum brought together collision repair experts from around the globe to share experiences and knowledge, demonstrating Fix Auto China’s willingness to help develop Direct Repair Programs, a necessity in China’s growing automotive aftermarket. We are also excited to have facilitated the signature of a strategic cooperative agreement between CAMRA and AIA Canada. This agreement will enhance the creation and development of education, training and trading opportunities for the automotive industries of both countries. It is a very significant acknowledgement of Fix Auto’s vision of a global network.’
