Geneva Motor Show cancelled

The 2020 Geneva International Motor Show has been cancelled after the Swiss government banned gatherings of 1,000 people or more due to concerns about the coronavirus.

The 90th edition of GIMS was scheduled to start on Thursday (5 March) and run until Sunday, 15 March.

Show chairman Maurice Turrettini said: “We regret this situation, but the health of all participants is our and our exhibitors’ top priority. This is a case of force majeure and a tremendous loss for the manufacturers who have invested massively in their presence in Geneva. However, we are convinced that they will understand this decision.”

Tickets already purchased for the event will be refunded.
