Frazer Minskip, High performance skills coach, WorldSkills UK

Beginning his career as an automotive apprentice, Frazer has gone onto establish himself as a leading global trainer in the automotive industry, working for some of the world’s leading luxury car brands including Bentley Motors.

Frazer has been involved with skills competitions for over ten years.  When he was a further education lecturer, he made WorldSkills UK competitions (which lead onto WorldSkills) a key part of his curriculum to develop and stretch the apprentices he was training.

In 2012, Frazer was appointed to his current role of UK training manager for Autobody Repair, with the responsibility of selecting and training apprentices to represent the UK at WorldSkills competitions.

Under his leadership, Frazer has consistently guided apprentices to the world class standard.  Winning bronze medals at the WorldSkills 2013 and 2017 competitions, Frazer has firmly cemented the UK’s position on the global stage, and he continues to play a crucial role in ensuring the latest industry standards are reflected in the WorldSkills competition.

In 2020, Frazer was appointed high skills performance coach for the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, where he works with teaching staff at further education colleges throughout the UK in adopting world-class training methods to raise standards in apprenticeships and technical education.
