Jerry Goodson, Instructor/Program Director for Collision Repair – Chippewa Valley Technical College/Skills USA

Jerry Goodson started in the collision repair industry in 1986 and spent his first 15 years as a collision repair and refinishing technician. 

In 2001, Jerry began his career on the educational side of the industry with roles including technician, technical writer, instructional designer, and trainer for I-CAR’s Tech Center. He was also an instructor at both Fox Valley Technical College and Chippewa Valley Technical College in Wisconsin. 

Jerry served as the expert for the United States WorldSkills team in Kazan, Russia in 2019, and is the sheet metal segment leader for the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference and Expo. 

Jerry obtained a technical degree in automotive collision repair and refinishing from Fox Valley Technical College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in career and technical education and training from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. His passion is the success of his students in a collision-related field that our industry so desperately needs.
