Les had 18 years’ experience in the automotive repair industry when in October 1993 he took up his first consulting engineering assessing role in an independent practice, which gave him a very challenging and varied baptism into the world of engineering assessing.
In November 1998, Les took up the role of staff motor engineer for an insurance company, where he first got involved in the IAEA council before being elected president in 2008.
Then in February 2008 he Les became lead vehicle damage assessor training instructor with the Thatcham Automotive Academy. He was responsible for vehicle damage assessment training and assessment for the ATA VDA qualifications.
In March 2017, Les set up LM Automotive Solutions Ltd whichspecialises in training, assessment and education for motor engineers and vehicle damage assessors. Les was one of the members closely involved in setting the Salvage AQP assessment and standard.
