Steve Leal, President & CEO, Fix Auto World

Steve Leal first joined Fix Auto as a franchisee and owner of Fix Auto Cambridge (Ontario) in 2005. As an operator, he saw the opportunity to drive the entire network forward and embarked on an eight-year journey that would see him obtain Area Developer rights to Ontario (2008), Atlantic Canada (2010) and Alberta (2011), becoming Chief Operating Officer for Fix Auto Canada (2011). Steve became the largest shareholder orchestrating the amalgamation of all the Fix Auto entities in Canada in early 2013. The Company then purchased the rights to the Fix Auto brand worldwide (2014).

In 2015, Steve took majority control of both Fix Auto Canada and the global master franchisor for Fix Auto worldwide, bringing in the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec, one of North America’s largest institutional investors, as a minority shareholder in the business.

In June 2016, the company acquired the automotive aftermarket brands Speedy Auto Service, the Canadian rights to Novus Glass & Minute Muffler & Brake, consolidating them with Fix Auto Canada to build Canada’s largest automotive aftermarket services solution. Fix Auto World is now leveraging this model to drive the horizontal integration of automotive aftermarket services on a global scale, following the acquisition in May 2017 of the assets of 11 companies in the automotive glass, commercial glass and glass related products distribution business, namely NOVUS Glass and Speedy Auto Glass USA.

Under the leadership of President and CEO Steve Leal, Fix Auto World is transforming the global collision franchise business by aligning global operations around lean, customer-driven processes that deliver greater efficiencies for operators and insurance partners, and consistently surpass customer expectations.
