As CEO & President of I-CAR®, over the past 15-years, Van Alstyne has positioned I-CAR as the leader and industry subject matter expert on Vehicle/Repair Technology and Educational Programming. He focused I-CAR on leading the industry forward in technical training, related industry knowledge & skills standards and credentialing, plus related technical information and service solutions, all contributing to complete, safe and quality repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer. Prior to I-CAR, Van Alstyne spent twenty-years in the OEM and vehicle technology sector of the automotive industry; including electric vehicles, powertrain and vehicle engineering consulting, and OE parts and sub-system manufacturing. Complementing his automotive depth, Van Alstyne earned an MBA from Michigan State University, a Marketing degree from Western Michigan University, and is Lean Systems certified.
