EVs winning over drivers

A new survey found that 63% of drivers would consider going electric for their next car.
They cited environmental concerns, home charging and tax benefits as influencing factors.
The survey of more than 2,000 drivers was carried out by Tusker, which runs a fleet of nearly 20,000 vehicles which has gone from three per cent electric to 20% in the last year.
The survey also found that 79% of respondents drive less than 150 miles a week, which could be completed on a single charge by many EV models. Further, three quarters said EVs were within their budget.
Paul Gilshan, Tusker’s CEO, said: “This year’s research shows that drivers better understand how electric cars can fit into their life even down to the location of their charging points.”
