Teaching since 1966 at different posts. Lecturer at Teachers Training College (NKP) and at The University of Pretoria. In 1969 started studying at the University of Pretoria and obtained PhD in Psychology. Involved in helping schools in PD – Communities. In February 1997 left education as school principal on a severance package.
Dr. Frik started in the ABR Industry in July 1997 as partner with portfolio: Director Human Resources. He is also a Chairman of SAMBRA, Northern Region – 5 years.
Currently functioning as Director for ITC a Training Provider for apprentices and learnerships in the ABR Industry.
Registered Assessor and Moderator at the MerSeta for Automotive Body Repairers. Centre Manager of the QCTO (NAMB) Decentralized Trade Assessment Centre (Industry Training and Consulting). Chairman of the Merseta Northern and Northwest Regions since 2014.
VDQ: Vehicle Damage Quantifier: Development of learning material and qualifications: (Occupational Certificate).
Automotive Body Repairer and Spray Painter: Member of CEP meetings to develop the new Occupational Certificates for panel beaters and spray painters.
Training learners at ITC for Santam and Telesure (NQF level 2-4) and Skills Programmes: Preparatory to become vehicle Damage Quantifiers (Assessors). Assistance in the training of Merseta approved Skills Programmes for deaf learners.
