Dr Stefano Longo, head of automotive, Embotech

Dr Stefano Longo has an MSc and PhD in automation, and over 10 years of experience in automotive controls research. He’s currently the head of automotive at the Swiss software company Embotech, where he leads a team of developers to create optimal and certifiable motion planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles.
He also holds a senior lecturer (Associate Professor) position at Cranfield University in the UK. Stefano has published two books and over 80 scientific articles. He’s a senior member of the IEEE and a chartered engineer.
