What’s front and center for the industry Changemakers?
This opening session sets the context for IBIS USA 2026, by tackling what is currently front and centre for the North American automotive industry, and what is keeping industry leaders awake at night.
Two industry voices take a forward look at where the automotive sector is heading and what it means for claims and collision repair. This session cuts through the noise to examine emerging pressures, underestimated risks, and the behaviours needed to stay resilient and competitive in a rapidly changing market.

8.15 am – Follow the Car – Calibration, Complexity and the New Definition of “Doing the Right Thing”
As vehicles become more advanced, the collision-repair process must follow the car itself – from sensor density to dynamic calibration needs, from advanced materials to increasingly complex EV and ADAS integrations. This session will move beyond the surface-level discussions and explore the true technical reality of repairing modern cars safely and correctly.

AI is no longer a future concept – it’s already influencing how vehicles are designed, how mobility is delivered, and how claims and collision-repair workflows are executed. This session explores where AI adoption truly stands today across the US claims ecosystem, rental and fleet management, OEM customer experience platforms, and bodyshop operations.

1.45 pm – Is the Future Written… and if not, who are the Changemakers?
With consolidation, insurer influence, emerging fleet models, rising complexity and shrinking margins, many believe the collision-repair business model is already “set”, but is it? Or is the industry simply defaulting to apathy and allowing external forces to define its future?
This session challenges the audience to confront some uncomfortable truths.
