JLR and Glasurit agree closer partnership

Jaguar Land Rover and Glasurit, BASF’s premium refinish paint brand, have signed an exclusive cooperation agreement that goes well beyond the industry standard.
As part of the deal, Glasurit is not just JLR’s sole preferred paint partner, but will also provide dedicated programme managers to implement JLR’s body and paint programme throughout Europe.
Glasurit will do this through its chosen service providers, Outsorc and Auto Skills International.
This was a key reason JLR selected Glasurit, alongside its Ratio Concept Plus portfolio, which includes training and various tools for bodyshop and business development.
Oliver Birk, director BASF global key account management automotive refinish, said, ‘Jaguar Land Rover and BASF are committed to helping and developing their business partners. The European body and paint programme will offer a balanced approach, taking care first and foremost of body shop business infrastructure.
‘Glasurit experts, together with the JLR programme managers provided by Outsorc and Auto Skills International, will support bodyshops to be more profitable. With our consultative Ratio Concept Plus portfolio, we will look at efficiency, performance monitoring and business development and provide the appropriate tools, individual advice and action plans to improve bodyshop operations and grow commercial opportunities.’
