David O’Connor, head of aftersales for Kia Motors Ireland is set to provide IBIS Ireland 2018 delegates with a fascinating insight into the evolving automotive landscape.
IBIS Ireland 2018, which takes place at Hilton Dublin, Charlemont Place on 15 May and is backed by lead partner AkzoNobel, along with partners Audatex, Fix Auto World and Synergy, aims to provide a regional view of the global topics currently impacting the collision repair industry.
David’s session, ‘Open your mind to change’ will explore how the current political, environmental, societal and technological pressures for change are forcing evolution within the automotive industry for all stakeholders – vehicle manufacturers and retailers included.
David explained, ‘While these changes raise many questions as to how our industry will be effected in the future, no clear answers are yet available. The idea however is that we should start the thought sharing process of what could happen sooner rather than later.’
David is one of a highly influential line-up of speakers set to take to the stage at IBIS Ireland. Also on the agenda, amongst others, is Barry Sheehan of the University of Limerick, who will provide an update on the changing face of underwriting in an autonomous age; and Morgan Stewart, chief motor engineer/supply chain manager, RSA Insurance Ireland who will present his take on the past, present and future of motor insurance within the region.
For a limited time only, IBIS are offering places at a discounted rate of £250. This offer is valid until the end of April, where tickets can then be purchased for £550, subject to availability.
Places can be booked online at ibisworldwide.com or by contacting Poppy Allard; [email protected] or Emily Miles; [email protected]
