Lightweight materials under spotlight

Toyota and Ford are set to discuss strategies for modelling and material failure simulation of lightweight materials at a GALM series event in Detroit, USA later this month.

The Modeling, Simulation and Crash Testing Summit 2016 features presentations and panels on modelling and simulation for aluminum, composites, magnesium, multi-material joining, lifecycles and more from some of the keenest minds of Ford, FCA, GM and Toyota.

Presentations and panel discussions will cover CAE and FEA topics including sessions from Dr Umesh Gandhi, principle scientist, Toyota and Dr Horst Lanzerath, technical leader advanced material CAE, Ford.

The event forms part of the GALM series and takes place on 26-27 January 2016 in Detroit, USA.
