Lynk & Co duo-star strategy

Lynk & Co reveals its first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), the 01 SUV, at the 15th Beijing International Auto Show.
Also, as part of its ‘duo-star strategy’, the brand reveals its production-ready second SUV in its range, the 02.
The Lynk & Co 01 SUV will be the first model from the brand to feature PHEV drivetrain system. Production of the first Lynk & Co 01 PHEV for Europe will begin in 2019 at Volvo Car Ghent factory in Belgium.
Lynk & Co’s first 01 PHEV marks the brand’s formal launch in to the new energy sector, with the first performance results confirmed as 1.7l / 100km fuel consumption (combined cycle) and a pure electric range more than 50 km for the 01.
Alain Visser, senior vice president of Lynk & Co, said, ‘We are embarking on a focused launch strategy of introducing two differentiated SUVs to meet the diverse demands of urban customers around the world. While our 01 is a premium mid-size SUV with world-class connectivity, shareability and usability at its core. The 02 is more adventurous and sporty with greater focus on the driver. It is smaller than the 01, and in Europe we would describe it more as a ‘crossover’ for consumers seeking even more individuality with bold and confident styling and driving characteristics. Our aim is to make a big impact, globally, on the mainstream SUV market with these two striking new vehicles.’
