Samsung given the go-ahead

Samsung has been given the go-ahead to start testing its autonomous vehicles on the roads in South Korea. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport approved Samsung’s test plans, which according to the Korea Herald, will use a customised Hyundai car. VWG off to ‘strong’ start

Volkswagen Group (VWG) has started fiscal year 2017 on a ‘strong footing’ with group sales revenue up by 10.3% in the first three months to €56.2bn. Tencent opens US based AI lab

Chinese technology giant, Tencent Holdings is set to open an artificial intelligence (AI) research facility in Seattle in the US, headed by former Microsoft scientist Yu Dong.
