With a degree in Mechanical Engineering and after serving as a manufacturing manager in private companies, around 35 years ago, he chose a career fully dedicated to professional training at the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, Portugal.

In this context, he served as Director of Vocational Training Centres, national coordinator for the implementation and improvement of training spaces and respective equipment, national representative of WorldSkills Portugal, and member of Boards of Directors.

He is currently the Director of CEPRA, the largest vocational training centre in Portugal for the Automotive Sector, specifically in after-sales, and a member of the Sectoral Council for Transport and Logistics Qualification.
