Erda Gerçek has over 20 years of investment experience, all of which with Citigroup Asset Management (CAM) and its successor Legg Mason International Equities. He worked both as a strategist and a portfolio manager in major financial centres. In 1991 Erda co-founded the Global Emerging Market Equities team in London, managing money for large institutional and private clients. In 2004 he initiated the group’s venture into the Hedge Fund and Alpha Extension space.

He currently teaches in Graduate School of Business at Koç University in Turkey. Erda has a PhD from Unversity of Salerno, Italy. He works as a management consultant for Turkish & foreign companies in various sectors. He is the managing partner of Thales Training and Consulting. He has been board memberships in local and international companies.
