Since joining the refinish industry over 30 years ago, James (Jim) Muse has held senior leadership positions in sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution. In his current role as Vice President of Global Sales, Jim is responsible for Axalta’s Refinish sales and retention business worldwide. To be successful in this role, it is critical for him to monitor market trends globally, communicate the implications of those trends across regions, and build long term strategies for sustainable growth.

Jim joined Axalta in 2013. Prior to his current position, Jim served as VP of EMEA’s Refinish Business where we was responsible for the transformation of the business into the market leader it is today.

Before joining Axalta, Jim held the position of Vice President of Business Development for North America’s largest PBE distributor, FinishMaster, Inc.

Jim is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs with a concentration in business management. He currently sits on the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS) steering committee. He also served as a trustee for the Collision Industry Foundation from 2010 to 2014.
