Marcos García March is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the insurance and automotive sectors. Currently serving as the Deputy General Director at MAPFRE’s Corporate Digital Business Division in Madrid, Spain, Marcos oversees the digital business operations across the Group and is a key member of MAPFRE S.A.’s Global Business Committee.

Marcos’s career showcases a robust track record of leadership in several strategic roles, including CEO of Verti Insurance Company in Massachusetts, USA, where he was instrumental in launching a digital direct insurance company that simplified decision-making for insureds through digital features and the use of supplementary information. His efforts helped propel Verti’s market presence significantly, making it a notable player in the insurance industry.

Previously, he held the position of Director of Strategic Planning and Innovation at MAPFRE FAMILIAR S.A. in Madrid, where he led strategic definition processes and innovation, substantially influencing the company’s strategic direction.

An alumnus of New York University, Marcos earned an MBA with a specialisation in General Management, focusing on Strategic Finance and Statistics and graduating with the highest academic honours (Beta Gamma Sigma). He also holds a degree in Political Science from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Spain and Brazil, and a degree in Business Sciences from CUNEF in Madrid.
