Roar Solberg was born in Norway, in 1970. He studied biochemistry at the University of Leicester, followed by a year at the Norwegian School of Management and is an AMP graduate from INSEAD, Fontainebleau. Roar Solberg joined BASF Performance Chemicals in the UK in 2003 and held different management positions in China and USA. He moved to BASF Coatings in Copenhagen in 2011, heading up the Automotive Refinish Business in Northern Europe. Since April 2019, he leads as Vice President in the EMEA region for BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings located in Münster, Germany.
