Swiss ban vehicles over emissions

Some new Mercedes-Benz Vito, Porsche Macan and Cayenne vehicles have been stopped by Swiss authorities which had diesel engines that disguised emission levels, according to Reuters.
The Astra road agency said in a statement that the halt will affect vehicles imported from 17 August of this year. The vehicles already registered in Switzerland must be retrofitted for continued use.
Those vehicles affected are: Cayennes with 4.2-litre diesel engines, Mercedes Vitos with 1.6-litre diesel engines and Porsche Macans with 3-litre diesel engines.
