Automechanika Shanghai 2017 proved a record breaking success with 130,928 visitors from 142 countries and regions. AkzoNobel has appointed Renier Vree as new chief financial officer of AkzoNobel Speciality Chemicals. Vree arrives from Arcadis, where he held the same role. Qatar Re to acquire Markerstudy underwriting

Qatar Re, a unit of Qatar Insurance, has agreed to buy UK motor insurer Markerstudy’s underwriting businesses for an undisclosed sum.
