EV sales up in China

Sales of electric cars in China should pass 700,000 this year, with 80% more sold in the country last month than in September 2016.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) reported that 77,000 EVs were sold in September, bringing the total for the first three-quarters of 2017 up to 398,000.

The final quarter is traditionally the best time for car sales in the country, which means the country is on course to sell 700,000 EVs in 2017 compared to 500,000 last year.
