IBIS Global Summit 2023 event overview

The 2023 edition of the IBIS Global Summit at the end of June in Milan has resonated on a truly international scale, both with those in attendance in Italy and those observing from afar via social media and the televised livestream feed.

The event proved so popular, with 397 delegates registering to attend, that it created a few minor logistical challenges for the IBIS team. But the guest response has been overwhelmingly positive.

“I’m still awestruck,” one delegate said afterwards. “Connecting with an all-star list of industry game-changers and hearing their experiences and perspectives reminded me what an exciting time this truly is. From AI integration to the skills shortage and how to solve it, the information and visions for the future were unlike anything I had previously experienced.”

Others commented: “A very exciting summit with very positive networking possibilities”, “Outstanding content and organisation”, and “It was the perfect opportunity to catch up with customers and colleagues and to introduce ourselves and our services to new clients”.

The IBIS Global Summit agenda, which continued the 2023 theme of “Sustainable Strategies for Success”, tackled some
of the main challenges facing the international collision repair industry – namely, parts and the supply chain, people and skills, technology, and claims and insurer relationships.

International participation was the name of the game in Milan, with 31 countries represented among the delegates in the room, eight countries represented by the speakers on stage, and with viewers from 24 countries tuning in to watch the livestream broadcast, from as far afield as the US and India, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
