9.30 – 10.10       Keynote Presentation: Thomas Edelmann, CEO, RoadSafetyUAE – RoadSafetyUAE are a key organisation in the constant push for safer roads in the UAE, their work with leading bodies is well recognised, in this opening session, we will hear how a number of initiatives which are already underway reducing regional traffic accident rates and importantly how they will influence the collision business and what it means to you.

 

10.10  – 10.45   Future Influences and trends on the collision repair market:

Eric Devos, CEO, GiPA Group. This session will take a look at the global and regional automotive market trends and importantly how the regions collision repair business is changing in profile and its influencing factors.

11.15 – 12.00     Creating a better future with shared aims and vision? Thomas Faerber, General Manager, Project Logistics, Al Nabooda Automobiles LLC, Mark Hayes, Group Aftersales Director, Audi Volkswagen Middle East – this interview session involving an insurer, agency repairer and OEM will discuss how all stakeholders can work closely to provide an improved claims solution, the session will look closely at the wants and needs of each party and identify areas in which common benefits can be found from closer collaboration.

 

12.00 – 13.00     The impact of regulation and standards on the middle east body repair market – Hana Mohamed Al Kho Khardi, Acting Head of Internal Conformity Affairs for Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), will present the forthcoming introduction of the workshop standards and grading system and what it will mean to bodyshops and associated stakeholders in the UAE, in addition in this informative session we will hear about ESMA activities across a number of automotive aftermarket with regards to regulating the spare parts market and import of vehicles.

 

13.00 – 14.15     Networking lunch

 

14.15 – 15.00     Developing motor claims with technology – Laurent Decelle, Director of Networks and Partnerships, Covea & President of CESVI France. In this session we will look at how technology can improve the motor claims process, reducing frictional costs and conflict, how this changes the requirement on the repair process and customer journey

 

15.00 – 15.45     Managing for a better future – Caroline Newns – with a changing regional collision repair market, the challenges to maintain profit margins, increase staff motivation and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction places new and ever growing pressure on managers. In this session we will look at how managers can develop their skills in specific areas to ensure they are ready to meet these constant market changes and challenges.

16.15 – 17.00     Regional collision market where do we go from here? – the final session of the day will be the opportunity for all stakeholders to consider the key highlights and points from the day and discuss in this open forum with the panel of the days speakers how we can collectively move forward and develop the regional market collaboratively.
