It’s been reported that the PSA Group used suspect software to cheat emissions tests in nearly two millions vehicles.
Le Monde reported that investigators had obtained an internal PSA document that discusses the need to ‘make the ‘defeat device’ aspect less obvious and visible.’
PSA Group has denied any use of fraudulent engine software, saying, ‘PSA denies any fraud and firmly reaffirms the pertinence of its technology decisions.’
PSA Group is the fourth car manufacturer to be referred to French prosecutors, after Volkswagen, Renault, and Fiat Chrysler.
