Halit has been working as an automotive journalist since 1994. His career began as a reporter at Auto Bild’s Turkish edition Auto Show magazine. Ten years later, he resigned while acting as the editor of the magazine and transferred as the editor-in-chief to Auto Start. In 2006, he transferred to the Turkish edition of auto motor und sport as the editor-in-chief. In 2015, in the same media group, he was commissioned as the editor-in-chief of Otohaber magazine, which has editorial collaboration with Auto Zeitung. He resigned in 2021.

Currently, Halit is the automotive editor of Turkey’s oldest and one of the most important newspapers, Cumhuriyet. He is also the presenter of a radio program, “Otomobil Adamlar,” at Kafa Radyo, which is the most listened-to car program in Turkey. Additionally, he is on YouTube, and the channel’s name is Auto Club, which has more than 100K followers. Halit has been one of the jurors of the International Engine of the Year Awards since 2006. Furthermore, he is a licensed safety driving instructor.
